G.E.L is an independent film producing company which specialises in the genre of social realism. The company was founded in 2017 by Gaia Brook-Nissen, Elizabeth Bradley and Lucy Gaston. G.E.L is currently working on their social realism piece 'Cupcake'.
Cupcake storyline (2018 release)
In a life encapsulated by poverty, a school girl is manipulated by others into a life of prostitution.
In desperation to escape her life of poverty and neglect from her alcoholic father, school girl Harriet Young attempts to find a job. However, one night when she is vulnerable and reluctant to return home to her disorderly father, she meets a woman who she believes is her way out. Eventually Harriet is manipulated, by a motherly figure with evil intentions, into criminal activity and finds herself in a life of prostitution and trap.
Follow her journey through the battle of life on the streets to find out how Harriet overcomes the mental and physical trauma she encounters.
This is a story of bravery, pain, and prosperity.
